Aurora

Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger, Norway. Professionally known as Aurora and occasionally stylized using the letters in uppercase as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, came out in May 2015 on Decca Records to great approval of bloggers in the music industry and media. The artist has already released two top-of-the-line covers Half the World Away by the group Oasis in a commercial for Christmas from John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry shared a tweet that Perry announced her new song Runaway. It was her birthday celebration. Aurora Aksnes' first musical memory involves finding a small piano in her basement and bewildered by the sound it made. Her parents May-Britt along with Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to pursue music not as a profession or a pastime, but for growth. This led to her started writing the music she composed herself. She is credited with Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen as well as Bjork as her main influences. In response to her mother's suggestion that her children ought not to aim to become famous with their songwriting skills, she instead be aware of the significance of them as well as their contribution to society. She started playing piano when she was only six and began writing music by the time she was nine. The family did not be aware of this until she reached the age of fourteen. Aurora wasn't a childhood dream. She claims that she enjoys composing songs. She claims that music is her preferred method of feeling something.
